Frequently Asked Questions

How does therapy work?

Therapy is an individual based approach to identify the needs of your child and your family and address those problems by implementing interventions that work for your family.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We are proud to offer a wide range of therapies that can not only help your child, but also your family. Our professionals are trained in ABA Therapy, Psychology, and Speech and Language Therapy.

Which therapy is right for my child?

Autism is a complex diagnosis. Our team of professionals have extensive training in assessing the individual needs of our child and providing specific recommendations on how to best meet your needs. Some children may benefit from one type of therapy while others may benefit from all the services we offer. We will help you in identifying what is best for your child and your family.

Do I have to drive to your clinic for all of my child's sessions?

Not necessarily. ABA therapy is well known for being effective through implementing interventions in your child's natural environment. We can perform ABA therapy in your home, in your child's school and even at your grocery store. Other types of therapy such as psychotherapy and speech therapy would take place in one of our clinics. Our staff will strive to accommodate your busy schedule and create a therapy schedule that fits into your daily life.

How do I get started?

Our team of professionals is not only trained in providing therapy, we are also very experienced in helping you through the insurance process. Contact our administrative support department to set up an appointment to help you through this process.

Insurance

In response to the needs of North Carolina Families with children diagnosed with Autism, the Autism Therapeutic Services team has sought to make ABA services as affordable as possible. Due to current restrictions in insurance authorizations for ABA services, we understand that ABA treatment can be a heavy financial burden to families. While we all await the North Carolina Government to accept ABA as a mandatory service for children diagnosed with Autism for ALL insurance providers, we offer a reduced comparable rate so that you can receive the services that your child needs.
